Samir is a founding member of the Chapter and served as its Chair from March 2022 to February 2024. During his committee’s tenure, membership grew to over 500, and he pioneered the establishment of the ECTA Working Group, MIP Group, and member social forums on WhatsApp to strengthen engagement and connection.

Samir currently serves on the inaugural Advisory Board, supporting the Chapter’s global reach, expanding member opportunities through collaboration with leading professional bodies worldwide, and strengthening governance and succession planning. An Indian Chartered Accountant with over 25 years’ experience, Samir is also a Fellow of CPA Australia and a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).

He brings extensive experience leading enterprise‑wide financial stewardship, governance and transformation in complex organisations, and is recognised for his calm, accountable leadership style and ability to build high‑performing finance teams that deliver rigorous control, strategic insight and long‑term sustainability.
